Buzbee said that some of the alleged victims included a number of minors. Some even claimed they were abused when they were nine years old.

"This is an important issue that we want to address aggressively," Buzbee told reporters.

Erica Wolff, an attorney representing Sean Combs, said the rapper "categorically and completely" denies the allegations. Combs, Wolff said, called the accusations "false and defamatory."

On the other hand, Wolff said in a statement to the BBC that his client "looks forward to proving his innocence and defending himself in court, where the truth will be revealed based on evidence, not speculation".

Diddy was arrested on September 16, 2024 at a hotel in Manhattan and is now a federal prisoner.

November 16, 2023: Cassie's lawsuit

Combs' ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, sued the rapper in Manhattan Court over allegations of abusive behavior and sexual violence during their time together between 2007 and 2018.

In the lawsuit, Cassie said he "endured his violent behavior and disturbing demands for more than a decade," including repeated beatings and forcing him to "perform sexual acts with male sex workers."

After breaking up in 2018, Cassie said Combs "forced his way into her home and raped her while Cassie repeatedly said 'no' and tried to push him away."

November 17, 2023: Cassie and Combs are at peace

Cassie's lawsuit lasted less than 24 hours. The two reached a peace agreement that was not disclosed to the public.

"I have decided to resolve this issue peacefully on condition that I have a certain level of control," Cassie said at the time.

November 23, 2023: New lawsuit, past events

However, Cassie's lawsuit sparked the emergence of other similar lawsuits. The day before the New York State Adult Survivors Act expired, Combs was faced with a pair of lawsuits.

One lawsuit from an anonymous woman accused Combs of sexually assaulting and hitting her.

Meanwhile, another lawsuit was filed by a woman named Joi Dickerson-Neal. He said Combs fed him drugs, sexually abused him while he was still in college in 1991 and recorded the incident and then distributed it to the music industry.

November 28, 2023: Combs steps down from Revolt

With a history of three lawsuits, Combs decided to step down from his position as chairman of the digital company Revolt which he launched in 2013.
